In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Vinemont Eagles basketball team scored a big 71-19 triumph over the St. Bernard Prep Saints.
The Eagles (18-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hanceville (Hanceville, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 8-13 record. In their last contest, Hanceville was trounced by Holly Pond (Holly Pond, AL), 60-19, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Saints battle the Addison Bulldogs (Addison, AL) in a 1A Area 14 contest, on Monday, January 20. St. Bernard Prep will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 7-13 record after their 34-30 league loss to St. Bernard Prep (Cullman, AL).
