The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Modoc Braves (Alturas, CA) and the visiting Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA), observed Modoc's basketball team edge Trinity by a score of 51-46.

The Braves (16-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Weed (Weed, CA). The Cougars come into the challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last bout, Weed was edged by Fall River (McArthur, CA), 35-31, in a league bout.

With the loss, Trinity falls to 13-6 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA) to play the Bears in a bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Mt. Shasta won 45-30 in their recent league bout against Etna (Etna, CA)
