Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting North Pike Jaguars (Summit, MS), 7-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Loyd Star moves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Wesson (Wesson, MS) to clash with the Cobras in a Class 1 Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 21. The Cobras come into the test with a record of 3-6. Wesson won 4-1 in their recent league test against Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS)

The Jaguars now sport a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 21. North Pike will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-4.
