Pomona Catholic Pacers (Pomona, CA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA), 9-0 in a league battle.

The Pacers (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Sacred Heart of Jesus (Los Angeles, CA). The Comets enter the Santa Fe battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Sacred Heart of Jesus notched a victory over Bishop Conaty-Loretto (Los Angeles, CA), 5-4, in a league battle.

Next up, the Swordsmen battle the San Gabriel Mission Pioneers (San Gabriel, CA) in a Santa Fe battle, on Tuesday, January 21. St. Paul will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Pioneers enter the battle with a 1-6 record after their 7-1 league loss to Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Montebello, CA).
