The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN) and the visiting Wayzata Trojans (Plymouth, MN), witnessed Moorhead's ice hockey team defeat Wayzata by a final score of 6-3.

The Spuds (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Roseau (Roseau, MN). The Rams come into the Greater Minnesota challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Roseau by Bemidji (Bemidji, MN), 3-1, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Edina Hornets (Edina, MN) in a Lake challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Wayzata will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Buffalo (Buffalo, MN).
