The South Spartans (Torrance, CA) basketball crushed the visiting North Saxons (Torrance, CA), 54-28 in Wednesday's league test.

The Spartans (11-8) will now prepare for their test against Lawndale (Lawndale, CA). The Cardinals go into the Pioneer test with a 5-10 record. In their last test, Lawndale was trounced by West (Torrance, CA), 71-64, in a league test.

The Saxons now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Torrance for a Pioneer test on Friday, January 21. North will encounter a Tartars squad coming off a 43-38 league loss to El Segundo (El Segundo, CA). The Tartars record now stands at 6-12.
