Illinois High School Basketball - Carmel can't hold off Benet Academy

The Benet Academy Redwings basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Carmel Corsairs to 35 in the Redwings league triumph on Wednesday.
The Redwings now sport a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rock Island for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 22. Benet Academy will battle a Rocks team coming off a 50-44 league win over Moline (Moline, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 14-9.
The Corsairs (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Spartans enter the East Suburban Catholic match with a 19-5 record. In their last match, Marian Catholic tipped Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL), 48-24, in a league match.
