In Wednesday's league outing, the Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) basketball squad edged the host Field Falcons (Mogadore, OH), by a margin of 50-47.

The Spartans (3-13) will now prepare for their outing against Cloverleaf (Lodi, OH). The Colts go into the Metro outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Cloverleaf held off Coventry (Akron, OH), 53-15, in a league outing.
