The Altamont Longhorns basketball team (Altamont, UT), was overwhelmed 71-50 in Thursday's league battle with the host Mount Vernon Patriots (Murray, UT)

The Patriots now possess a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manila for a 1A Region 22 battle on Saturday, January 21. Mount Vernon will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 61-27 league win over Intermountain Christian (Salt Lake City, UT). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-3.

The Longhorns (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Tabiona (Tabiona, UT). The Tigers come into the 1A Region 22 battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Tabiona trounced Rich (Randolph, UT), 62-59, in a league battle.
