Andrew Thunderbolts (Tinley Park, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL), 59-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Andrew upgrades its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Thunderbolts travel to Sandburg (Orland Park, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 8-14. Sandburg lost 77-68 in their recent league bout against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL)

Next up, the Chargers play the Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban - Red bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Stagg will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 7-13 record after their 53-27 non-league win over Chicago Vocational (Chicago, IL).
