Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Animas Panthers (Animas, NM), 80-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cliff upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys/Cowgirls travel to Quemado (Quemado, NM) to play the Eagles in a A District 2 bout on Saturday, January 21. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 8-8. Quemado lost 50-25 in their recent league bout against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM)

Next up, the Panthers play the Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM) in a A District 2 bout, on Saturday, January 21. Animas will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 78-9 league loss to Magdalena (Magdalena, NM).
