In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Buckingham Knights basketball team scored a tight 46-45 triumph over the Appomattox County Raiders.
In their next game, the Knights meet the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a James River match, on Tuesday, January 24. Buckingham will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record.
With the defeat, Appomattox County moves to 1-12 on the year. The Raiders host William Campbell (Naruna, VA) to meet the Generals in a Dogwood match on Friday, January 20. The Generals enter the match with a record of 6-6.
