The Ashland Hornets basketball team (Ashland, ME), was overwhelmed 69-34 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME)
The Owls now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hodgdon for a C North battle on Saturday, January 21. Madawaska will confront a Hawks team coming off a 66-56 league loss to Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 4-7.
The Hornets (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against East Grand (Dansforth, ME). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 0-10 record. In their last battle, East Grand was overwhelmed by Madawaska (Madawaska, ME), 81-41, in a non-league battle.
