Red Lake Warriors (Red Lake, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN), 69-62 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Red Lake upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Warriors host Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida (Cloquet, MN) to play the Ogichida in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Ogichida go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida won 77-64 in their recent league bout against Bigfork (Bigfork, MN)

Next up, the Drakes play the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs (Northome, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Blackduck will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 76-49 non-league loss to North Woods (Cook, MN).
