Brewer Witches (Brewer, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME), 65-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Brewer upgrades its record to 10-0 on the season. The Witches travel to Messalonskee (Oakland, ME) to play the Eagles in a A North bout on Saturday, January 21. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Messalonskee won 72-71 in their recent league bout against Cony (Augusta, ME)

Next up, the Warriors play the Erskine Academy Eagles (South China, ME) in a A North bout, on Saturday, January 21. Nokomis will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 67-56 league loss to Camden Hills (Rockport, ME).
