The Perkins County Plainsmen basketball team (Grant, NE), was nudged 51-50 in Thursday's league battle with the host Bridgeport Bulldogs (Bridgeport, NE)

The Bulldogs now possess a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Patrick's for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 21. Bridgeport will confront a Irish team coming off a 48-32 non-league win over Chase County (Imperial, NE). The Irish record now stands at 13-2.

The Plainsmen (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Holyoke (Holyoke, CO). The Dragons come into the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Holyoke was nudged by Wray (Wray, CO), 73-48, in a league battle.
