Holy Martyrs Armenian Armens (Encino, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Buckley Griffins (Sherman Oaks, CA), 56-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Holy Martyrs Armenian upgrades its record to 13-9 on the campaign. The Armens host Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA) to play the Seawolves in a Independence bout on Saturday, January 21. The Seawolves come into the bout with a record of 18-5. Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica won 91-68 in their recent league bout against Buckley (Sherman Oaks, CA)

Next up, the Griffins play the Glendale Adventist Cougars (Glendale, CA) in a Independence bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Buckley will attempt to move on its 12-9 season record.
