Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA), 72-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Glenvar (Salem, VA) to play the Highlanders in a Three Rivers bout on Friday, January 20. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Glenvar lost 49-29 in their recent league bout against Radford (Radford, VA)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Fort Chiswell will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 77-49 league loss to Hampton (Hampton, TN).
