In Thursday's non-league outing, the Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), by a margin of 63-62.
The Redhawks (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Kentwood (Kentwood, LA). The Kangaroos go into the 1A District 9 outing with a 3-10 record. In their last outing, Kentwood was tipped by St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA), 65-52, in a non-league outing.
The Hornets now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Westminster Academy for a 1A District 6 outing on Friday, January 20.
