The Copper Canyon Aztecs basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Glendale Cardinals to 47 in the Aztecs league triumph on Thursday.

The Aztecs now sport a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kofa for a 5A Central Valley contest on Monday, January 23. Copper Canyon will meet a Kings team coming off a 62-54 league win over Youngker (Buckeye, AZ). The Kings record now stands at 10-9.

The Cardinals (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Maryvale (Phoenix, AZ). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Maryvale was routed by Carl Hayden Community (Phoenix, AZ), 53-50, in a league contest.
