East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Strasburg Rams (Strasburg, VA), 48-45 in a league bout.

With the win, East Rockingham upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Clarke County (Berryville, VA) to play the Eagles in a Bull Run bout on Monday, January 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Clarke County won 71-43 in their recent league bout against Page County (Shenandoah, VA)

Next up, the Rams play the Virginia High Bearcats (Bristol, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Strasburg will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 78-52 non-league win over Northwood (Saltville, VA).
