Horseheads Blue Raiders (Horseheads, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Elmira Express (Elmira, NY), 72-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Horseheads upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Blue Raiders host Johnson City (Johnson City, NY) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Johnson City won 57-53 in their recent non-league bout against Maine-Endwell (Endwell, NY)

Next up, the Express play the Jamestown Red Raiders (Jamestown, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Elmira will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 63-46 league win over Orchard Park (Orchard Park, NY).
