In Thursday's league outing, the Geffen Academy Bruins (Los Angeles, CA) basketball squad beat the visiting New Roads Jaguars (Santa Monica, CA), by a count of 60-51.

The Bruins (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA). The The Aviators go into the Coastal outing with a 0-15 record. In their last outing, Hawthorne Math & Science Academy was topped by Lennox Academy (Lennox, CA), 83-51, in a league outing.

The Jaguars now hold a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wildwood for a Coastal outing on Saturday, January 21. New Roads will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 54-32 league loss to California Academy of Math & Science (Carson, CA). The Wolves record now stands at 6-5.
