West Virginia High School Basketball - Hoover thwarts Midland Trail

January 19, 2023: Clendenin, WV 25071

The Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) basketball knocked off the visiting Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV), 67-57 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Huskies (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV). The Tigers go into the Cardinal test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Chapmanville Regional notched a victory over Logan (Logan, WV), 70-64, in a league test.

The Patriots now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Summers County for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Midland Trail will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 76-46 non-league loss to James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-7.
