The Horse Creek Academy Stallions basketball team (Aiken, SC), was nudged 1-0 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting McCormick Chiefs (McCormick, SC)

The Chiefs now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ware Shoals for a A Region 2 battle on Friday, January 20. McCormick will confront a Hornets team coming off a 61-21 league win over South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind (Spartanburg, SC). The Hornets record now stands at 5-4.

The Stallions (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Curtis Baptist (Augusta, GA). The Crusaders come into the non-league battle with a 7-10 record. In their last battle, Curtis Baptist was nudged by Ragin Prep Christian Academy (Sumter, SC), 63-52, in a league battle.
