The Jackson Memorial Jaguars basketball team (Jackson Township, NJ), was nudged 47-41 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Toms River North Mariners (Toms River, NJ)
The Mariners now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. John-Vianney for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 21. Toms River North will battle a Lancers team coming off a 59-55 non-league win over Long Branch (Long Branch, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 7-8.
The Jaguars (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cherokee (Marlton, NJ). The Chiefs come into the non-league battle with a 11-4 record. In their last battle, Cherokee edged Eastern (Voorhees, NJ), 56-50, in a league battle.
