The Madison Memorial Spartans basketball team (Madison, WI), dropped 60-51 in Thursday's league battle with the host Middleton Cardinals (Middleton, WI)

The Cardinals now possess a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Benilde-St. Margaret's for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 21. Middleton will confront a Red Knights team coming off a 85-61 non-league win over St. Louis Park (St. Louis Park, MN). The Red Knights record now stands at 10-1.

The Spartans (7-6) will now prepare for their battle against Madison La Follette (Madison, WI). The Lancers come into the Big Eight battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Madison La Follette beat Janesville Craig (Janesville, WI), 78-70, in a league battle.
