Mountain Area Christian Academy Lions (Morganton, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host North Georgia Christian Academy Knights (Ellijay, GA), 52-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Mountain Area Christian Academy upgrades its record to 15-2 on the season. The Lions travel to Philadelphia Christian School (Calhoun, GA) to play the Eagles in a GCAA Region I bout on Saturday, January 21. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Philadelphia Christian School lost 105-72 in their recent non-league bout against Old Suwanee Christian (Buford, GA)

Next up, the Knights play the Covenant Christian Academy Rams (Cumming, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. North Georgia Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 71-50 non-league loss to Bible Baptist Christian (Hampton, GA).
