The St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers basketball team (Washington, DC), was routed 66-21 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests (Sandy Spring, MD)
The Wildebeests now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Mary's Ryken for a non-league battle on Sunday, January 22. Sandy Spring Friends will battle a Knights team coming off a 56-33 league loss to Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The Knights record now stands at 6-11.
The Panthers (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Georgetown Day (Washington, DC). The Mighty Hoppers come into the non-league battle with a 0-8 record. In their last battle, Georgetown Day was routed by Maret (Washington, DC), 75-34, in a league battle.
