Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pleasant Valley Vikings (Chico, CA), 47-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Chico upgrades its record to 19-1 on the season. The Panthers host Yuba City (Yuba City, CA) to clash with the Honkers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Honkers go into the bout with a record of 9-4.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 27. Pleasant Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record.
