Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Summerville Bears (Tuolumne, CA), 47-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Sonora upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Wildcats host Amador (Sutter Creek, CA) to clash with the Buffaloes in a bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Amador won 29-28 in their recent league bout against Summerville (Tuolumne, CA)

Next up, the Bears clash with the Calaveras Redhawks (San Andreas, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Summerville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Redhawks go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 48-23 league loss to Sonora (Sonora, CA).
