Academy of the Holy Angels Angels (Demarest, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bergenfield Bears (Bergenfield, NJ), 61-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Academy of the Holy Angels upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Angels travel to Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ) to play the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Highlanders come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Northern Highlands won 54-39 in their recent non-league bout against Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ)

Next up, the Bears play the Pascack Valley Panthers (Hillsdale, NJ) in a Big North - National bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Bergenfield will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 57-18 non-league win over Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ).
