Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Clairton knocked off by Winchester Thurston

The Winchester Thurston basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Clairton Bears to 41 in the league triumph on Thursday.
The now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Winchester Thurston will battle a Chargers team coming off a 53-28 league win over South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Chargers record now stands at 9-4.
The Bears (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ellis (Pittsburgh, PA). The enter the WPIAL 2A 3 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Ellis ran past Springdale (Springdale, PA), 46-42, in a league contest.
