In Thursday's league outing, the Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA) basketball squad edged the visiting Conneaut Area Eagles (Linesville, PA), by a margin of 55-53.

The Knights (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Oil City (Oil City, PA). The Oilers go into the District 10 Region 5 outing with a 8-5 record. In their last outing, Oil City was tipped by Warren (Warren, PA), 60-19, in a league outing.

The Eagles now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeview for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 21. Conneaut Area will clash with a Sailors squad coming off a 57-6 league win over Jamestown (Jamestown, PA). The Sailors record now stands at 9-4.
