Decatur Heritage Christian Academy Eagles (Decatur, AL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cullman Bearcats (Cullman, AL), 47-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Decatur Heritage Christian Academy upgrades its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Falkville (Falkville, AL) to play the Blue Devils in a 2A Area 13 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 4-7. Falkville lost 62-59 in their recent non-league bout against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy (Athens, AL)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Hartselle Tigers (Hartselle, AL) in a 6A Area 14 bout, on Friday, January 27. Cullman will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
