The Triton Mustangs (Runnemede, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Deptford Spartans (Deptford, NJ), 55-54 in Thursday's league test.

The Mustangs (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Penns Grove (Carneys Point, NJ). The Red Devils go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Penns Grove got by Pennsville Memorial (Pennsville, NJ), 59-50, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Haddon Heights for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Deptford will encounter a Garnets squad coming off a 54-38 league win over Audubon (Audubon, NJ). The Garnets record now stands at 5-7.
