Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT), 71-68 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Norwich Free Academy upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Waterford (Waterford, CT) to clash with the Lancers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Waterford lost 77-38 in their recent league bout against Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut - 2 bout, on Saturday, January 21. Fitch will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 66-25 non-league win over Montville (Oakdale, CT).
