The Mattawan Wildcats basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Gull Lake Blue Devils to 24 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kalamazoo Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Mattawan will battle a Maroon Giants team coming off a 63-51 league win over Central (Battle Creek, MI). The Maroon Giants record now stands at 10-1.

The Blue Devils (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Lakeshore triumphed over Portage Northern (Portage, MI), 42-33, in a league contest.
