In Thursday's league outing, the McFarland Spartans (McFarland, WI) basketball squad beat the visiting Jefferson Eagles (Jefferson, WI), by a count of 62-47.
The Spartans (16-2) will now prepare for their outing against Edgerton (Edgerton, WI). The Crimson Tide go into the Rock Valley outing with a 12-4 record. In their last outing, Edgerton was topped by Clinton (Clinton, WI), 70-36, in a league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Atkinson for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Jefferson will battle a Blackhawks team coming off a 67-45 league loss to Waunakee (Waunakee, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 5-12.
