J.H. Rose Rampants (Greenville, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Kinston Vikings (Kinston, NC), 56-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, J.H. Rose upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Rampants travel to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to clash with the Cardinals in a 3A/4A Conference 19 bout on Friday, January 20. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Jacksonville won 36-25 in their recent non-league bout against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC) in a 2A Conference 6 bout, on Friday, January 20. Kinston will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 44-36 league loss to North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC).
