Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Uniontown Red Raiders (Uniontown, PA), 54-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Laurel Highlands upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Albert Gallatin (Uniontown, PA) to play the Colonials in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Colonials come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Albert Gallatin won 67-33 in their recent league bout against Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Elizabeth Forward Warriors (Elizabeth, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 3 bout, on Monday, January 23. Uniontown will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 79-36 league win over Ringgold (Monongahela, PA).
