Palmetto Tigers (Palmetto, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Manatee Hurricanes (Bradenton, FL), 47-24 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Palmetto upgrades its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton, FL) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 6-13. Lakewood Ranch lost 49-36 in their recent non-league bout against North Port (North Port, FL)

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Shorecrest Prep Chargers (St. Petersburg, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Manatee will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 0-17 record after their 29-5 non-league loss to St. Petersburg Catholic (St. Petersburg, FL).
