Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Millburn Millers (Millburn, NJ), 36-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Verona upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Hillbillies travel to Morris Hills (Rockaway, NJ) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 3-10. Morris Hills lost 56-21 in their recent league bout against Montville (Montville, NJ)

Next up, the Millers play the Glen Ridge Ridgers (Glen Ridge, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Millburn will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record.
