The Veritas School Lions (Richmond, VA) basketball felled the visiting Walsingham Academy Trojans (Williamsburg, VA), 42-27 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Lions (8-2) will now prepare for their test against New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA). The Gryphons go into the non-league test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, New Covenant was beaten by Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (Moneta, VA), 42-33, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Norfolk Collegiate for a TCIS test on Tuesday, January 24. Walsingham Academy will encounter a Mighty Oaks squad coming off a 63-36 non-league loss to Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA). The Mighty Oaks record now stands at 2-9.
