Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC), 35-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Walkertown upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Wolfpack travel to Reidsville (Reidsville, NC) to play the Rams in a 2A Conference 34 bout on Friday, January 27. The Rams come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Reidsville lost 88-51 in their recent league bout against T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC) in a 2A Conference 34 bout, on Friday, January 20. West Stokes will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Phoenix come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 49-38 league win over Reidsville (Reidsville, NC).
