Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) and the host Albemarle School Colts (Elizabeth City, NC), saw Holmes's basketball squad hold off Albemarle School by a tally of 18-15.

With the victory, Holmes improves its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Aces travel to Victory Christian (Elizabeth City, NC) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 23. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Victory Christian won 25-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Trinity Christian (Greenville, NC)

Next up, the Colts confront the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC) in a challenge, on Friday, January 20. Albemarle School will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 39-11 league win over Ridgecroft (Ahoskie, NC).
