In Thursday's league outing, the Christopher Cougars (Gilroy, CA) basketball squad edged the host Pioneer Mustangs (San Jose, CA), by a margin of 34-28.
The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Branham (San Jose, CA). The Bruins go into the outing with a 12-1 record. In their last bout, Branham nipped Silver Creek (San Jose, CA), 49-15, in a league bout.
Next up, the Mustangs play the Silver Creek Raiders (San Jose, CA) in a bout, on Saturday, January 21. Pioneer will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 49-15 league loss to Branham (San Jose, CA).
