New Bern Christian Academy (New Bern, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gramercy Christian Warriors (Newport, NC), 22-19 in a league bout.

With the win, New Bern Christian Academy upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The host Community Christian (Wilson, NC) to play the Cyclones in a bout on Monday, January 23. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Community Christian won 19-16 in their recent non-league bout against Bethel Christian Academy (Kinston, NC)

Next up, the Warriors play the Christ Covenant Spartan (Winterville, NC) in a bout, on Friday, January 20. Gramercy Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Spartan go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 20-5 league loss to Community Christian (Wilson, NC).
