In Thursday's league battle, the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the St. Mary's Academy Belles.
The Warriors (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA). The Mariners come into the Camino Real battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, St. Monica was nudged by St. Mary's Academy (Inglewood, CA), 3-2, in a league battle.
The Belles (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Swordsmen come into the Santa Fe battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, St. Paul nudged Bishop Conaty-Loretto (Los Angeles, CA), 4-0, in a league battle.
