North Carolina High School Basketball - Forest Hills holds off Anson

January 19, 2024: Wadesboro, NC 28170

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) and the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), saw Forest Hills's basketball squad hold off Anson by a tally of 89-82.

With the victory, Forest Hills improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Monroe (Monroe, NC) to confront the Redhawks in a 2A/3A Rocky River challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Redhawks come into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Monroe won 66-25 in their recent league challenge against Central Academy (Monroe, NC)

Next up, the Bearcats confront the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Anson will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record.
